I used Latisse for about 8 months, then I decided to take a break from it. I wasn't sure how long I could continuously use it for, so I decided I would give it about a year before or if I wanted to use it again. Once I stopped using Latisse, it took a few months for my lashes to go back to normal. The long ones naturally fall out just like the normal ones, but when new ones grow back, it's just the regular length again :(
If you don't know what Latisse is, it's a product that you use on the base of your upper eye lash line. It comes in a dropper with brushes. You put on drop on the brush and swipe across your upper lash line. There are no immediate results, but if you use it everyday for 16 weeks, the difference is incredible!
Here is what my lashes look like naturally with mascara. BEFORE SHOT:
AFTER SHOT: Here is what my lashes looked like when I previously used Latisse last year, same mascara (L'Oreal Collagen)
You can also see from the first 2 pics, that my lashes just went back to normal. I didn't get any major side effects using Latisse. I did get dry eyes for about a week, but that went away and didn't come back at all. When you don't follow the direction properly, you are not going to see results. You have to apply this every single day, hopefully not missing a day. The more days and applications you miss, the results won't be as dramatic. I've talked to a few people who use Latisse and they only apply maybe once here, once there and their lashes are no where near what mine were. However, once you get to the 16 week mark, you can apply every other day just to maintain it, but it's important to get to that stage before missing applications. If I was going out for a night and thought there is a possibility that I'm going to forget to apply, I would do the application in the morning under my make up.
If you are like me and hate falsies but want dramatic lashes and have that extra money to spend on something for yourself, try it out. You need a prescription from your doctor as it's not an over the counter product. Check out the link, click here. It was honestly worth it for me and I'm excited that I have started using it again. I'm only on the first week, but I will keep you updated.
Have you tried Latisse? Do you love it, hate it? I would love to read your comments.
Have an awesome day!!!
