Since the weather is getting colder out (sniff), most of my matte make up that I have been using for summer is starting to get tossed to the side because my face is getting drier. One thing I notice when the weather drops, is my concealer is that much harder to apply. I find that it creases, doesn't blend as good, and I can't re-apply during the day without it looking cakey and unnatural.
A girlfriend of mine (who has the most amazing make up suggestions I might add), recommended Benefit's Fake up Hydrating Concealer and I'm so happy she did. This stuff is amazing! It is so moisturizing I can't even explain. As you can see from the pic above, the concealer is in my middle with Vitamin E and apple seed extract surrounding it, which hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a more natural, concealed look with tons of hydration. It's impossible for this concealer to get cakey and it's not oily at all!
I can honestly say that since I'm in my 30's, my eyes NEED to stay hydrated. I always re-apply my concealer during the day just to feel refreshed, and I like how I can re-apply this and it looks perfect without the overdone look, or cakey/stiff. It also gives a gorgeous dewy look if you choose to wear it by itself. I got the shade "light" and it's a perfect match for my skin.
All I do is apply a swipe under each eye, blend it with my fingers and set with translucent powder. This concealer is also great if you have a pimple that you need to hide. It totally conceals it as well as moisturizes the skin so you don't get that flaky, dry look. It's definitely a great concealer that works amazing with or without face make up. I also want to add that the packaging for this product is beautiful!
I must say that I have been really impressed with Benefit these days. It was never a brand that I really grabbed for, but I am finding that all the products I have bought from the line, have been incredible and worth every penny!
